Apply for OFTEC trade association membership
Trade association membership is available to organisations that can demonstrate a willingness to uphold the high standards expected by OFTEC, its members and other stakeholders. For certain categories of membership, successful applicants will need to supply supporting evidence of compliance with statutory rules, as well as with OFTEC's own rules of membership.
Annual membership runs from 1st January to 31st December. New members joining part way through a year will be charged on a pro-rata basis, plus an additional one-off new member joining fee. A loyalty discount scheme is available for existing members that renew their annual membership punctually.
What happens to your application?
Once your completed application has been received, it will be considered by OFTEC's Member Services Council. Once approved, you will receive an invoice for membership fees to 31st December. Once your fee is paid, we will send you a welcome pack containing details of how to access the 'members only' area of this website and how to get involved in various committees and groups that you are eligible to join.
As a not-for-profit organisation, the revenue generated by membership fees is used to aid to:
- promote liquid fuels as energy sources for heating and cooking
- lobby governments with a voice that is representative of the liquid fuel industry in the UK and RoI
- facilitate meetings and projects that allow the liquid fuel industry to develop
- keep you informed of industry news
- promote technician training, competency assessment and the application of best practice.
To ensure that OFTEC membership will meet the needs of your organisation, or to learn more about how you can get involved with our association and help shape the future of the heating industry, please contact OFTEC's Chief Executive, Paul Rose, for an informal discussion.
