Green Homes Grant Scheme extended

Sep 30, 2020, 11:10 AM by OFTEC
On 30th September, the government officially launched the Green Homes Grant (GHG) scheme which will provide homeowners with grants to assist with the cost of improving the energy efficiency of their homes.

This scheme has now been extended to allow more time for businesses to get involved and be able to meet the overwhelming demand from consumers for the grant scheme.

There is £2bn available in the new funding scheme for home improvements completed before 31st March 2021

Only installers registered with TrustMark are eligible to install measures within the GHG scheme, additionally those installing low carbon heating measures must be registered with MCS. OFTEC registered businesses may apply to add MCS and TrustMark to enable them to carry out GHG funded work.
